# Creator profiles and badges

What a profile shows, how creators are checked and what each label means.

For brands · 6 questions · Updated 14 October 2026

## What does a creator profile show?

Everyone can see a creator’s name (usually first name and last initial), photo, country and city, age range, gender, languages, niches, content types, lifestyle details, follower ranges, starting rate, bio and badges.

With annual access you also see their business email, social profile links and verified sample videos, as each creator permits. Each profile has buttons to copy the email or open it in your mail app, save the creator, add them to a shortlist, share the profile and find similar creators.

We never show a creator’s birth year, only an age range. If a creator is expecting a baby, brands see that they’re expecting but never the expected date.

## How are creators verified?

A person on the UGCStars team reviews every application before the profile is listed. Software flags broken links, possible duplicates and email problems, but no one is approved or declined automatically. Every application is checked against the same list:

- The creator is 18 or older.
- They confirmed their email address.
- Every social account and portfolio link opens, is public and belongs to them.
- There’s enough UGC work to judge what they make for brands.
- Followers and engagement look real. There’s no follower minimum.
- They don’t already have a profile with us.
- Their niches, languages, country and lifestyle details describe them.
- They’ve set a starting rate.

Sample videos are reviewed too, each time one is added. Review shows a profile met these checks when it was listed. It isn’t an endorsement and doesn’t guarantee the quality of a creator’s work, so watch recent samples before you book. [How we review creators](https://ugcstars.com/how-we-review-creators) has the full method.

## What do the badges mean?

Each badge means only what it says, at the time it was given.

| Badge | What it means | How it’s given |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Verified | A person on our team reviewed the profile against our checks. | On every listed profile |
| 3+ Verified Samples | At least three sample videos passed our review. | Automatic, after sample review |
| Top Creator | Picked for outstanding work. | By our team, never automatic |
| Highly Responsive | Replies to casting call emails within 24 hours, on average. | Automatic, from activity |
| Most Contacted Recently | One of the creators brands contacted most in the last 30 days. | Automatic, from activity |
| Brand Favourite | Saved to shortlists by more brands than 90% of creators. | Automatic, from activity |
| Rising Star | In their first 60 days, with fast-growing interest from brands. | Automatic, from activity |

Badges worked out from activity change as that activity changes. No one can pay for a badge or for a higher place in search. [How we review creators](https://ugcstars.com/how-we-review-creators) explains each check behind Verified.

## What does “Unclaimed” mean on a profile?

The profile was created from our earlier records, such as an application to the previous UGCStars site, and the creator hasn’t taken it over yet. Its details may be older than on other profiles, because the creator hasn’t confirmed them on the current site.

Unclaimed profiles appear in search, on niche pages and in the UGC Rate Index like every other listed profile. Once the creator claims the profile, they can update it from their account. If the profile describes you, see [My profile was imported. How do I claim it?](https://ugcstars.com/help/joining-as-a-creator#my-profile-was-imported-how-do-i-claim-it)

## How up to date is the information on a profile?

Creators can edit their profiles at any time, and we remind every creator to update at least every six months. Automated checks look for broken links, invalid social accounts, missing details and email addresses that bounce, and a person looks at each flag.

A profile that stays out of date may be archived, which takes it out of search. To see only creators who updated recently, use the Recently updated filter.

Rates and availability can still change between updates, so confirm both when you first contact a creator. The starting rate is a guide for one video with a standard edit, not a quote.

## Can I watch a creator’s sample videos?

Yes, with annual access. Creators can add up to six sample videos from TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts. We review each one before it shows on their profile. Each is tagged with the interest categories it fits, so samples that match your search show first.

Without access, a profile shows how many verified samples the creator has. Samples show how a creator films, lights, writes hooks and talks to camera, so watch two or three before you shortlist someone.
