How do I buy annual access?

  1. Go to checkout, or press Unlock Contact Details on any creator profile.
  2. Enter your email. It becomes your login, so use an address you’ll keep.
  3. Add your name and, if you want it on the invoice, your company.
  4. Enter a promo code if you have one. The discount shows before you pay.
  5. Tick the box to accept the Terms and Privacy Policy and to ask for access to start straight away.
  6. Pay by card.

Access starts as soon as the payment is authorized. If you came from a profile, you go straight back to that creator’s contact details. We email a receipt and a login link to the address you entered. The receipt confirms the Terms version you accepted and that you asked for access to start immediately.

Why do I have to tick a box about refunds at checkout?

Annual access is digital and opens in full the moment you pay. In the UK, the EU and some other places, consumers can usually cancel an online purchase within 14 days, but for digital content that right ends once you ask for it to start straight away and it starts.

The checkbox is how you ask for immediate access and confirm you understand the purchase can’t be cancelled afterwards, except as the Terms describe. It isn’t ticked for you, and you can’t pay without it. Your receipt includes a copy of what you accepted. Can I get a refund? lists the cases where we do refund.

How do promo codes work?

Enter the code at checkout and press Apply. If it’s valid, the discount and the new total show before you pay.

  • A code works only during its promotion and until any redemption limit is reached.
  • You can use one code per order, and codes can’t be combined with each other or with other offers.
  • Codes apply to the first year only. Renewals are charged at the standard price.
  • A code can’t be added after you’ve paid, or used to get part of a payment back.
  • Affiliate codes take $25 off the first year. An affiliate can’t use their own code.

If a code isn’t accepted, it has expired, reached its limit or doesn’t apply to your order. Check the expiry date where you found it. We can’t honor codes that have ended.

Which currency do you charge in, and is tax added?

Prices are in US dollars. Where we’re required to collect sales tax, VAT or GST, it’s added at checkout and shown before you pay.

If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount and may add a foreign transaction fee. Those charges come from your bank, not from us, so we can’t refund them.

How do I get an invoice with my company details?

Add your company name at checkout. To add or change the company name, address or VAT number later, open Account > Account and billing, press Edit details and save. Each purchase there has a Receipt and an Invoice link, and the invoice downloads as a PDF.

If you need something you can’t change from the account, such as a different billing entity, contact us with the Billing topic within 30 days of the purchase.

How will the charge appear on my statement?

As a charge under a descriptor that names UGCStars: once when you buy, then once a year on your renewal date until you turn renewal off.

If you don’t recognize it, search your inbox for the UGCStars receipt, sent to the email entered at checkout. It shows the order number, date, amount and any discount. If you still can’t place it, see I don’t recognize a charge from UGCStars.

What happens if I enter an email that already has access?

Checkout tells you the email already has access and offers to send a login link instead of taking payment. Open the link to log in, and contact details show straight away.

If you complete a second purchase for the same person anyway, the duplicate charge is refunded. Contact us with the Billing topic within 30 days of the charge.
