The Rate Index, Trends, Database Stats, the Showcase and our comparison pages.
What is the UGC Rate Index?
The UGC Rate Index shows what UGC creators charge as a starting rate for one video, calculated from the rates creators set on their own UGCStars profiles. It shows the median, the middle half and the 10th to 90th percentile, broken down by niche, country, platform, follower count and content type. It’s free for everyone.
Use the rate checker to pick the creators you have in mind and see their range, or to check a quote. Starting rates cover one video with a standard edit, so quotes that include usage rights, raw footage or extra hooks are usually higher. A new edition comes out each month.
How is the Rate Index calculated?
From a snapshot of listed profiles taken on the first of each month:
- Only listed, reviewed profiles count, including profiles created from our earlier records that haven’t been claimed yet.
- Each creator counts once, with their starting rate for one video.
- Rates in other currencies are converted to US dollars using exchange rates from the first of the month.
- We show medians, with percentiles worked out by linear interpolation, rounded to the nearest $5.
- A group needs at least 20 rates before we show a figure. Smaller groups show “Not enough profiles yet”.
Published editions are never recalculated. Corrections are noted on the edition’s page and in the changes table on the methodology page.
Can I quote UGCStars data in an article or report?
Yes. The Rate Index, Trends editions and Database Stats are free to cite in articles, reports and client decks. Link to the monthly edition you used, from the Rate Index editions or Trends editions, so readers see the same figures you did, since the live pages update.
The Rate Index page has a ready-made citation line to paste under any figure. Each edition has tables, plus CSV and JSON files that state the period they cover and their license.
What is UGC Trends?
UGC Trends shows what brands are casting for right now. Industry demand comes from brand searches, casting calls and creator contacts on UGCStars over the last 30 days. Trending hashtags come from public data on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. Campaign ideas turn what’s growing into briefs you can send.
The page updates every Monday. A monthly edition, a fixed record you can cite, comes out on the first of each month for the month before. You can also get a short summary by email every Monday, free.
What’s on the Database Stats page?
Database Stats gives a live picture of every listed creator: the total and its growth, countries, languages, niches, content types, age, gender, follower ranges, platforms, lifestyle details and starting rates. It updates daily.
Use it to check your audience is covered before you buy. Every chart is repeated in the “All figures as tables” section, with the date the figures were taken.
What is the Showcase?
The Showcase collects UGC videos made for brands by creators in our database. Tap a video to open the profile of the creator who made it, then use Find similar creators to see others like them.
Are your comparison pages fair?
Our comparison pages are written by UGCStars, so they compare our own product with others, and each page says so. We describe each platform from its own website, link to every source, and show the date we last checked prices. We recheck them every quarter.
If something about another platform is out of date or wrong, tell us and we’ll correct it.
