How long does review take?

A person reviews each application, oldest first. Review starts once you’ve confirmed your email, so open the confirmation link straight away. The How we review creators page shows the current median review time.

We email the decision to the address on your application. If we ask for changes, your profile comes back to review once you save them, so make them promptly. Each sample video you add later is reviewed too, and shows on your profile once it passes.

What do you check in my application?

Every application is checked against the same list:

  • Age: a birth year that shows you’re 18 or older.
  • Email: an address you confirmed with the link we sent.
  • Accounts and links: every social account and portfolio link opens, is public and belongs to you.
  • UGC work: enough examples to judge the videos you make for brands.
  • Real audience: followers and engagement that look real. There’s no minimum follower count.
  • One profile per person: you don’t already have a profile with us, including an imported one.
  • Accurate details: niches, content types, languages, country and lifestyle details that describe you.
  • Starting rate: a price for one video with a standard edit.

A check fails when we can’t confirm it from what you sent. Fixing the cause is usually enough to pass next time.

What happens if my application isn’t accepted?

We email you the reason, with a note from the reviewer. You can apply again once the reason no longer applies. The most common reasons are:

  • Not enough examples of UGC work yet. Make three to five spec videos with products you own, add them as samples and apply again.
  • The profile looks inauthentic. We couldn’t confirm the accounts or the work are yours. Apply with accounts you control, or contact us if you can show the work is yours.
  • Duplicate account. You already have a profile, possibly an imported one. Claim it instead of applying again.

Rejected applications are deleted 90 days after the decision.

I was asked to make changes. What now?

The email lists what to fix, for example a broken or private link, a missing starting rate, or rates and samples that need refreshing. Log in, make the changes and save. Your profile stays hidden until you save, then goes back to review.

Before you save, open each link in a private browser window to check it works. If something in the request isn’t clear, contact us with your profile link.

Why was my profile hidden or suspended?

We hide a profile from brands while we look into a complaint, when its followers look bought, or when it breaks the creator terms. You get an email with the reason.

Automated checks also flag broken links, invalid social accounts, missing details and emails that bounce. A person looks at each flag, and the profile stays listed until then. A profile that stays out of date may be archived: it leaves search and the Rate Index until you update it, and it’s deleted after a further period if you don’t.

If you think a decision is wrong, contact us with your profile link and what you’d like us to look at again.
