Casting calls for creators
Finding briefs, applying and staying safe.
What are casting calls?
Casting calls are briefs posted by brands looking for creators. Each one says what the brand wants made, who they’re looking for, the deliverables, whether it’s paid, gifted or both, how many creators they need and the deadline to apply. Browse casting calls and filter by country, category and compensation.
They’re free to browse and share. We review every brief before it’s published, but publishing isn’t an endorsement of the brand, so check the brand before you agree to anything.
How do I apply to a casting call?
Open the casting call and press Apply. If you have a listed profile, your application is sent with your profile and an optional message. If you don’t have one yet, you can join from the casting call, and your application goes to the brand once you’ve confirmed your email.
Apply only when you meet the criteria and want the job. Use the message to say why you fit, and point to a sample that matches the brief.
How do opportunity emails work?
If you opt in, we email you casting calls that match your profile, based on your country, languages, niches, content types and lifestyle details. Turn them on or off in your creator account at any time. They stop while your profile is hidden.
The more accurate your profile, the better the matches. Each email includes the brand’s contact address, so you can reply directly or apply from the casting call page.
What happens after I apply to a casting call?
The brand receives your profile and message by email and contacts you directly if they’re interested. Brands with an account can also accept your application, which tells you they’re interested and shares their email, or decline it, which sends you a short note so you aren’t left waiting.
From there you agree the work, price, deadline and usage rights with the brand. UGCStars isn’t part of the deal and takes no commission. The brand email templates help you reply and send a quote.
A brand asked me to pay a fee. Is that allowed?
No. Brands on UGCStars must not ask creators to pay a fee, deposit or purchase to take part, other than receiving a gifted product the brief discloses. The same goes for offers to buy followers, pay for placement, or join a pay-to-play or multi-level marketing scheme.
Don’t pay. Report it with the brand’s name, the casting call link and a copy of the message. We investigate, and we close briefs and accounts that break these rules.
