Affiliate program

Earning commission for recommending UGCStars to brands.

7 questions · Updated

How does the affiliate program work?

The affiliate program is available soon. Applying, logging in and the dashboard open when the program starts. The answers below describe how it will work.

You share your own link or code with brands. Brands who use it get $25 off their first year of annual access. You earn $100 when a brand buys and $50 each time it renews. Apply in about two minutes, and your link and code are ready straight away.

Your dashboard shows clicks, sales, commissions on hold, commissions that are payable and your payout history. The full rules are in the Affiliate Terms.

Who can join the affiliate program?

Anyone 18 or older with a PayPal account. There’s no minimum audience size. Applications are approved automatically, and we review activity afterwards. If activity breaks the rules, we can cancel the commissions involved and close the account.

UGC creators, agencies, consultants and newsletter writers who advise brands can all join.

When does an affiliate sale count?

A sale counts when a brand clicks your link and buys annual access within 30 days of their last click, or enters your code at checkout. A code always wins: if the customer enters your code, the sale is yours whatever links they clicked.

If they clicked links from two affiliates and used no code, the last link before the purchase gets the sale. The click is stored in a cookie for 30 days, where the visitor allows affiliate cookies. Your own purchase never counts, and checkout won’t apply your discount to the email on your affiliate account.

When do affiliates get paid?

Each commission is held for 60 days after the purchase, in case the brand is refunded. After that it’s payable. We pay payable commissions by PayPal on the 1st of each month once you have at least $100 cleared, so one cleared sale is enough.

Payouts go to the PayPal email on your affiliate account, so keep it current. You’re responsible for any tax on your commissions, and we may ask for tax forms where the law requires them.

What happens to my commission if the brand gets a refund?

If the brand is refunded or files a chargeback during the 60-day hold, the commission is reversed and leaves your pending total. Refunds after the hold don’t affect what you were paid.

What are the rules for promoting UGCStars?

  • Say you earn a commission wherever you share your link or code. The FTC requires this in the US, and our terms require it everywhere.
  • You can run ads, but don’t bid on “UGCStars” or misspellings of it in search ads.
  • Don’t post your code on coupon or deal sites.
  • Don’t promise anything about UGCStars that isn’t on our site, such as a number of creators or results. Affiliates don’t speak for UGCStars.

We can change the Affiliate Terms with 30 days’ notice by email, and either side can end the agreement at any time. Commissions earned before then still clear and are paid, unless the account was closed for breaking the rules.

I’m a UGC creator. Does being an affiliate change my listing?

No. Your creator profile and your affiliate account are separate. Joining the program doesn’t change how your profile ranks, and UGCStars still takes no commission on your creator work. You can recommend UGCStars to brands you work with, as long as you disclose that you earn a commission.
