Logging in and your account
Login links, account settings, shortlists, templates and emails.
How do I log in?
UGCStars doesn’t use passwords. Go to Log in, enter your email and press Email me a login link, then open the link from your inbox. The same page works for brands and creators.
Each link works once and expires 15 minutes after it’s sent, so request a new one if it has expired. Open it on the device where you want to be logged in.
I didn’t get my login link.
- Check spam, promotions and other filtered folders for an email from UGCStars.
- Check the address you typed. The link only goes to the email on your account, which for brands is the one used at checkout.
- Wait a minute, then request a new link. Requests are limited, so avoid pressing the button many times in a row.
- If your company filters outside email, ask your IT team to allow messages from ugcstars.com.
- If you bought on the old UGCStars site, use the email you bought with.
Still nothing? Contact us from the address you’re trying to log in with, and we’ll check whether it’s on an account.
How do I change the email on my account?
Brands: open Account > Account and billing and press Edit details. Creators: open your creator account and change the email under Basics. Either way, we send a confirmation link to the new address, and the change happens only when you open it, so a typo can’t lock you out.
If you can no longer get into the old address, contact us. We’ll ask you to show the account is yours before we move it. Access belongs to one person, so we won’t move it to someone else’s email.
How do shortlists work?
Shortlists come with annual access. Press Save on any creator card or profile to add them to Saved creators. Then, in Account > Saved, create a shortlist for a campaign or client and add saved creators to it. Press Copy all emails to copy everyone’s address in one go, ready to paste into your mail app.
A creator can be on several shortlists. Deleting a shortlist keeps its creators in Saved, and removing someone from Saved keeps them on any shortlist they’re on. We keep saved information safe, but keep your own record of important lists as well.
What’s in the brand template library?
Fill-in templates for working with creators: outreach emails (first outreach, follow-up and a gifted collaboration offer), campaign briefs, NDAs and creator agreements. Download each as a Word file or copy it to Google Docs, then fill in the highlighted parts.
Anyone can preview a template. Downloading needs annual access, and new templates are included as we add them. Contracts are starting points, not legal advice, so have them checked for your country before you use them. Browse the templates.
How do I keep my account secure?
Because login is by email link, anyone who can read your email can open your account. Protect your email with a strong password and two-factor authentication, don’t forward login emails, and don’t use a shared inbox for annual access.
If you think someone else has used your account or a login link, contact us straight away. We may pause the account while we check and ask you to confirm it’s yours. Every login is recorded with the time, IP address and device, so we can see what happened.
Which emails will I get, and how do I turn them off?
Account emails, such as login links, receipts, email confirmations, application decisions and security notices, are sent when needed and can’t be switched off while you have an account. Everything else is optional:
- Saved search alerts for brands: off until you turn them on, then weekly. Manage them in Account.
- Opportunity emails for creators: matching casting calls, only if you opt in. Manage them in your creator account.
- Newsletters, such as brand updates, creator tips and the weekly UGC Trends email: only if you subscribe.
- Brief emails: if you posted a brief, emails about that brief and its applications.
Every optional email has an unsubscribe link. Once you unsubscribe, your address goes on our suppression list and stops receiving that kind of email.
